NYS Clean Heat and Mass Save

NYS Clean Heat and Mass Save documentation, generated from the design

The same design that builds the proposal produces the paperwork: a Manual J report, an equipment selection sheet, equipment references and sizing documentation.

Heat pump incentive programs such as NYS Clean Heat and Mass Save ask contractors for sizing documentation with each project. Tradewright generates it from the design you already built: a room-by-room Manual J report, an equipment selection sheet, AHRI and NEEP equipment references, and sizing documentation, ready to attach to the application.

How the documentation is produced

  1. Step 1: Design the job

Scan the home, run the room-by-room Manual J and select equipment, as on any Tradewright job.

  2. Step 2: Generate the documents

Tradewright produces the Manual J report, equipment selection sheet, AHRI and NEEP references and sizing documentation from that design.

  3. Step 3: Check the program rules

Confirm the current program requirements. Our NYS Clean Heat and Mass Save guides summarize them with dated sources.

  4. Step 4: Attach and submit

Attach the documents to the rebate application through the program's own process.

Who it is for

  • NYS Clean Heat contractors

Produce load and selection paperwork without a separate design pass.

  • Mass Save contractors

Attach sizing documentation built from the same design you sold.

  • Office and rebate staff

Stop chasing advisors for load calcs after the job is signed.

  • Heat pump contractors

Use the incentive in the sales conversation, with the paperwork already in hand.

Questions

What documentation does Tradewright generate?

A room-by-room Manual J report, an equipment selection sheet, AHRI and NEEP equipment references, and sizing documentation, all from the design used for the proposal.

Does Tradewright submit the rebate application for me?

No. Tradewright generates the documentation. You submit it through each program's own process.

How much are the NYS Clean Heat and Mass Save rebates?

Amounts and eligibility rules change and are set by each program. See our NYS Clean Heat and Mass Save guides for dated, sourced summaries, and check the program sites before quoting a rebate to a homeowner.

Does this guarantee a rebate will be approved?

No. Approval depends on each program's rules, the equipment and the contractor's participation status. Tradewright provides the design documentation; the program decides.

Is Tradewright ACCA-approved?

Not yet. Tradewright is not on ACCA's list of approved Manual J software. Our load calculations follow the ACCA Manual J (8th edition) and Manual S methods, every input is visible, and reports show the assumptions behind each number. We plan to apply for ACCA approval in 2028 and will update this answer when that status changes.

Do I need a separate design for the rebate?

No. The documentation comes from the same scan, Manual J and equipment selection you used to build the proposal.
