The problem

Replacement jobs are lost between the visit and the proposal.

Designers are a bottleneck

One or two people in the shop can run a Manual J. When they are booked, proposals wait and homeowners keep shopping.

HoursA room-by-room Manual J, Manual S selection and a priced proposal is hours of a trained designer's time per job. Tradewright does it during the visit.

Rules of thumb oversize systems

Square-foot-per-ton shortcuts and copying the old nameplate oversize equipment: short cycling, clammy rooms, higher bills, more wear.

Nearly 40%of contractors in one large survey said they purposely oversized equipment, according to a U.S. Department of Energy fact sheet.[1]

Homeowners don't see the why

A price on a page does not explain why one system fits the house. Without the reasoning, homeowners take the cheapest bid, or wait.

49%of homeowners in a survey commissioned by Midea (reported January 2024) said not knowing anything about heat pumps is the main reason they would hesitate to switch.[2]

How it works

Your salesperson gathers. Tradewright engineers. You decide how to sell.

The engineering is deterministic and auditable. The AI explains every number; it never invents one.

  1. Step 1: Your salesperson gathers

Scan the home with an iPhone or iPad, or upload a plan. Snap the nameplate on the existing equipment. No design training needed.

  2. Step 2: Tradewright engineers

Room-by-room Manual J, Manual S selection from real equipment, and whole-system options compared on 15-year cost. Every number is shown with its inputs.

  3. Step 3: You decide how to sell

Your price book, your margins, your brand. Present Good/Better/Best, then sign, take the deposit and offer financing at the table.

Home scan

Measure the house in minutes, not an afternoon

Walk the home with LiDAR on an iPhone Pro or iPad Pro, or upload a floor plan. Fix any wall, window or ceiling height before it touches the load calc. Snap the nameplate and the existing equipment is read for you.

System comparison

Show the homeowner the 15-year number, not just the price

Heat pump, boiler, furnace, mini-split or dual-fuel, side by side on estimated cost of ownership. Options that do not fit the house are shown as ruled out, with the reason, so the recommendation is one they can trust.

Why contractors switch

Load calc and proposals in one place, not two

Most shops run a load calculation tool and a separate proposal tool, if they run a load calc at all. Tradewright does both, and connects them.

Estimate

Estimate what faster designs and better proposals are worth to you

Enter your own numbers. This is an estimate based on the assumptions shown under the results, not a promise of results.

Heat pumps and rebates

NYS Clean Heat and Mass Save documentation, generated automatically

The same design that builds the proposal produces the paperwork: the Manual J report, the equipment selection sheet and the sizing documentation, ready to attach to the rebate application.

Questions

Is Tradewright ACCA-approved?

Not yet. Tradewright is not on ACCA's list of approved Manual J software. Our load calculations follow the ACCA Manual J (8th edition) and Manual S methods, every input is visible, and reports show the assumptions behind each number. We plan to apply for ACCA approval in 2028 and will update this answer when that status changes.

Which devices does Tradewright run on?

Tradewright runs on iPhone and iPad, plus any browser for the office. Scanning uses LiDAR, which is on iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models. On any other device you can upload a floor plan instead and correct the geometry before the load calculation.

Which CRMs does Tradewright work with?

Works with Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, or no CRM at all. If you do not use a CRM, Tradewright works on its own.

Do homeowners see our prices?

Homeowners see the proposal prices you choose to show. Your cost and margin data never appears on anything the homeowner sees.

How long is setup?

Setup is price book import, branding and a short training session. We will give you a timeline on the demo call.

What does Tradewright cost?

There are three plans. Starter is $199 per seat per month. Pro is $349 per seat per month plus a $500 per month platform fee. Enterprise is custom. Founding-partner pricing is available for the first 10 design partners. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.

Plan details are on the Tradewright pricing page. Questions about rebates? Start with the rebate documentation overview.
